Pond nets fall into two broad categories. Hand nets — landing nets and skim nets — are used for removing debris or handling fish, sold in a range of mesh sizes and handle lengths. Coverage netting is sold in rolls or pre-cut sheets to span the full pond surface, most commonly used seasonally to keep leaves out and reduce heron predation.
